What is you Return Policy?
Because every collar is made by hand at the time it is ordered we generally DO NOT accept returns.
If your collar or leash is incorrect you may return most standard new, unused and clean Rescue Me Dog Collar items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. We are not able to return for size so please measure carefully. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect item or we send an item that is not the size you specified in your order). WE WILL NOT EXCEPT RETURNS ON ANY CUSTOM OR SPECIAL ORDER COLLAR OR LEASH OR AN ANY EXTRA SMALL OR EXTRA LARGE COLLARS. This includes non standard sizes, widths, designs, or anything made that is not specifically listed as a product option.
We cannot except returns on items that show obvious wear, like excessive hair or any dirt or oils from skin and coats. It is a good idea to try on your dog's collar with a tissue or towel under it until you are sure of the fit. Alternately, measure your dog's neck with a tape measure or a piece of string, then measure that against the collar to be sure of the fit.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). Exchanges are all subject to fabric, pattern, & hardware availibility.
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail when your refund or exchange once we've received and processed the returned item. To be sure your return is processed promptly and correctly always use a trackable shipping method when returning an item to us. we are not responsible for shipping costs on returned or exchanged items.
Because each collar and leash is made specifically for your order, we generally cannot accept returns for items unless there has been an error with your order, or if a product is found to be defective.
What are your Shipping Policies?
We ship all our collars for free to all United States destinations. We ship USPS first class mail. We ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR MISHANDLED ORDERS If you need to ensure delivery we suggest using a trackable shipping method option instead of free shipping. All other countries are charged a flat rate $7.50 fee only. FREE SHIPPING OPTION IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO UNITED STATES CUSTOMERS.
We can ship to almost any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to some international destinations. We are not responsible for customs or duty fees. We do specify that our collars and leashes are handmade craft items on the customs slips. Most countries make duty exceptions for handmade items. You should check with your country's customs office if you have any questions.
It generally takes about five business days for most orders to be completed and shipped. There are no 'stock items' and your collars and leashes will be individually handmade to your specifications. During November and December it can take more than a week to fulfill the volume of orders we receive. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound when applicable.
